New Services Added to Netrospec Technologies

New Services Added to Netrospec Technologies

For the better part of a year I have not been actively blogging here on Netrospec Technologies. It has not been that I have not wanted to, it has simply been that I have completely consumed with the building of the firm and customers came first. Things are starting to settle into place now and we are starting to hit our stride with our current customers and adding new ones that will not stretch us too thin as to compromise the quality of work that we want to do.

We have also learned a lot this past year on what we needed to do to provide the absolute best solutions to our customers and where we needed to fill gaps to accomplish our goals. At our core we are an infrastructure consulting firm, we can build your datacenter to staff augmentation in administration and operational needs. Staying true to who we are we will not take on work that is not in our area of expertise, so to speak. We are frequently asked about development work and that is just not who we are or what we do. We offer infrastructure services whether you are a fortune 500 company, or a company of 5 employees, we can optimize and get your current operation running smooth or build you a brand new computing system environment. We even have a small business starter package that includes a server, email and remote capabilities so you can work from anywhere like your in the office.

But we were getting requests for things that we should be doing but didn't offer. We had several requests this past year for data recovery services. We had customers that either deleted their data or had an issue with the hard drive itself and needed the data off the drive. Now don't get us wrong we did not leave them stranded, we took the equipment and sent if off to a data recovery shop to recover our customers data. We found these services to be very costly. We actually would split the cost with our customers because the costs often seems very high even to us. So we started looking into what we would need to do this in-house and if we had the expertise needed to recover the data properly.
At the same time we were getting a lot of inquiries about cell phone repair. "Do we fix cracked screens?" was something that we were asked very frequently. Well those of you that know me personally know that I have a big love for mobile technology. It started back in I would say 2005-2006 where I would start flashing custom ROMs (custom operating system) on Windows Mobile Phones and taking apart phones that had issues. Since then I have always looked at mobile as the future in computing. So then I thought it was just a natural progression for us to also look at what mobile services we should be supporting.

I am pleased to announce that there are two new services we are adding:

1. Data Recovery - PC, Laptop or stand alone hard disk drive data recovery.

2. We are opening a mobile division. The mobile division will have three separate areas:

  1. Service and Repair
  2. Sales
  3. Custom modification Software and/or Hardware.

If you have any questions please let us know.

Have you heard of Petman?

Pet man is a anthropomorphic robot from Boston Dynamics. Boston Dynamics describes Petman as a robot used to test chemical protection clothing. Looking at the video I can see many other applications for this robot including military uses. One of the directions I would like to take Netrospec Technologies in is robotics. There is no doubt that robots are in our future and the applications are endless. Do you agree?

Project Glass is a project currently underway by Google to bring augmented reality with hands-free smartphone like features to a pair of glasses. These are not just any glasses these glasses have a small screen, they have sound and they take voice commands. Just remember the "context" it will be big in the future.

Have a look for yourself:
